Our Mission

Central Oregon's First
Parkour Community

Abstract In Motion is Central Oregon's first Parkour gym. Our mission is to create a community for everyone to enjoy movement, challenge the idea of playing, and improve personal fitness.

About Parkour

The Art of Overcoming Obstacles

The essence of Parkour can be stated simply: the art of overcoming obstacles as swiftly and efficiently as possible using only your body. The fundamentals include running, jumping, and climbing — built upon to pass over, under, around, and through obstacles with more complex movements.

A system of training that improves strength, speed, agility, co-ordination, stamina, endurance, and precision — and changes how you see the world.

I've lived in beautiful Central Oregon since I was a young teen. I've been training in Parkour for 18 years and teaching for 15. Starting at Acrovision Sports Center in 2010, becoming Parkour Director, then building the Bend community through meetups, workshops, and private lessons before opening Abstract In Motion in 2015.

“I haven't always been athletic. As a child I suffered severe asthma and couldn't even go outside. At 5 I was finally able to — and I was immediately addicted to running and jumping.”

In 2008 I found Parkour. The first year of the gym was rough — a fractured Talus, then a torn tendon from re-injuring it. Out for months twice in one year. But just like any Parkour move, I eventually cleared the obstacle.

Over the past several years I've competed in Parkour competitions across the world — podiuming and winning. Traveled to places, met people, found stories I would have never found without this discipline. Now I get to bring students along.

Any obstacle thrown in my way — I'll leap over it and be better than I was before.

Share Between Siblings

One punch equals one homeschool class for one student.

Have two kids? If they both attend, you'll use two punches. Have three? You'll use three.

Full School Year

We offer approximately 25 Homeschool Parkour classes during the school year.

The 25-Punch Pass can cover a full school year for one student. The 50-Punch Pass can cover two students — and brings the price down to just $20 per class.

Use Your Homeschool Funds

Purchase the number of punches that works best with your family's available homeschool allotment.

Larger punch passes provide a greater discount, helping your education funds cover more training throughout the year.
